About this scrapbook page: |
This bridge in the North Island of NZ is only accessible by tramping, cycling or canoeing. In 1917 the surrounding land was farmed by returning soldiers but it wasn't easy and most left, the bridge was deserted. The whole story can be found if you look up Mangapurua Valley.
