This city has a place in my heart because I grew up here during the war. We had to leave Guernsey when the Germans invaded and occupied the island for 5 years - many people stayed though.
I suggest you read and/or see the movie called The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society - yes that is it's name.

This is truly a wonderful icon for your next Geographical Challenge - Letter G Jocelyn! You have quite a history and that says a lot within itself! The map is wonderful along with the beautifully placed photos! I love how you showed the modern day city along with historical photos and the blending and effects and word art makes this page a winner! I will look for that book and/or movie!
