While my sister was visiting we went to Matamata where the LOTR and Hobbit movies were partly filmed on a farm. The Hobbit village 'The Shire' has been kept for visitors.
Thank you for viewing - maybe this is the closest you will get to Hobbiton.

OMG! That would be a dream come true if all of us SBF friends and/or our families could me in The Shire because I don't think we would all fit in the Green Dragon! LOL. I didn't know anything about the LOLTR stories & therefore didn't understand the movies when they came out but my husband, God love him for so much, introduced them to me & SO GLAD he did! Joyous, fabulous photos and fantastic page
