About this scrapbook page: |
Nicolaas or Ned. Hervormde kerk in Midlum. I was born in a very tiny house just behind the church. The church dates from 1208, but had some renovations in the 17th century ( the 2 bells in the tower are from this period)and in the 1970`s. Around the church is a small graveyard, my maternal grandparents and my first brother (who lived only a few days) are burried there. The village Midlum is near Harlingen and a so called Terpvillage. The church was build on the highest point of the terp.

Call me weird but I had to make this a favorite simply because you were born in a tiny house behind this very old church and some of your family is buried in the graveyard around it. Not to mention the terrific photo and how you enhanced it with this wonderful page!
