About this scrapbook page: |
for the Emotion on Paper:Melancholy challenge. A friend of mine has struggled with alcoholism for many years and has damaged his stomach and liver, but still continues on a downward spiral. He was sober for over 2 years when he suddenly started drinking again. His illness brings me profound sadness so I can only imagine how he feels deep inside.

Thanks everyone for the comments and support for my friend. He is trying to hide it but he has changed so much in the past couple of years, I know he is right back where he was before. He wants to be a social drinker like the AA quote says, and refuses to believe he can't handle it. It's very disheartening.
