About this scrapbook page: |
I was cleaning out a bookshelf a couple of days ago and came upon a novel entitled "The Winter Garden", with this beautiful cover. I also found a book about roses, in which I found this quote. Both things really moved me, and I wanted to try to combine them into one setting. Why do YOU think Grandmother looked at the withered flower in the old book that way?
|
Design credits: |
I scanned the book cover and blended it into paper by Catherine Designs. Duplicated the layers and used different blending modes. I'm not sure why the page looks so grainy. It doesn't look that way in PSP. The book is by Johanna Verweerd and the quote is by Hans Christian Anderson. If you're having trouble reading the quote, it should be easier if you enlarge the view.
