About this scrapbook page: |
Had to go to the next town for fuel, but no fleecing. The blown tyre was for real, can't fake this one in photoshop! And it was only 40km from home after a 704km trip.

Well Don, sounds like a thoroughly disorganised trip in the midlle of nowhere! No planning for fuel, no spare tyre(?), forgot to look at the map to see if the railway still existed, and to cap it all just what sort of bars does a burly Australian copper drink in these days? You tell me you go for a pint of the 'black stuff' of a Friday, but you are obviously throwing back 'pink fluffy bunnys.'

Well son, you have a good excuse. I heard that you were so exhausted from staggering through the desert in your high heels, searching for fuel, that you saw a mirage of a bar on board and didn't notice the lack of railway track! But when you got back to the ute, you found the nice man(and his penknife) had beaten you to it! Sorry about the money, kid, but I'm skint!I'm afraid you'll just have to walk!
