Gorse. An invasive and often vilified plant unloved by many. In Guernsey there are areas of Common and many parts of the coastline are cliffs with paths to ramble thru. Here the gorse is allowed to flourish but controlled. I remember walking near these plants and inhaling the perfume I can almost smell it now - intoxicating. The rich yellow is beautiful.

Yes it is a very pretty plant when in flower but in NZ it is rampant & invasive as are a lot of introduced plant. NZ climate allows them to grow sometimes much better than in the countries they came from. Love how you scrapped this Joce and I don't remember seeing this page before. The tilted photo and the framing really draws the eye. Thank you for posting this in the challenge.
