C is for Christchurch. Christchurch is the main city in the South Island of New Zealand. We had a holiday down there in 2008 so we were lucky to see some of the beautiful old brick buildings before the earthquakes in 2010 & 2011. The beautiful cathedral in the bottom photo unfortunately was destroyed. They are still trying to figure out if they can afford to rebuild it.

Yes a lovely place, we've been there often. Such a pity about the Cathedral - now just a pile of rubble after the last earthquake. I do hope it gets rebuilt. We've been on one of those punts on the Avon river. This is a great page Mary - love the info and the photos. Thank you for making it for my challenge.
