Even though I haven’t been doing as many pages of cooper of late I would have to say he is my style , and more specifically it is creating some type of scene for him to be in. Here he is extracted and place on a stream. I used a gradient to blend his feet into the water. The opacity of the rocks were lowered to blend them in. Additional items were placed to create a scene. Then to finish off I use topaz adjust on the entire page( on a duplicate layer) to bring out some color and/or detail.
