Kiwi fruit were once called Chinese Gooseberries and came from China. A grower in NZ starting growing them and they caught on and became very popular. A few years later, when they were being exported, they changed the name to Kiwi Fruit and they became a NZ delicacy. Thank you for comments on my page.
