About this scrapbook page: |
Val's Teddy Bear challenge inspired me to share this with you and thought I would pop it in the challenge. If there are too many bears Val please remove. The Barengraben (bear pit) has been a part of Berne history for hundreds of years. Happily now the bears roam in an open space full of trees but in 1986 when we visited they were confined to the small bear pit. Buying Bernie Bear there started me off on a journey. Thanks for visiting.

Oh I love your story of Bernie and your idea of collecting bears from your travels. I'm so glad most zoos now are better for the animals. We have a little zoo here that still uses cages.

Fantastic story and I had never heard of the bear pit until just now so I just read about it. I used to have a bunch of stuffed animals and teddy bears are my favorite. Thanks for shearing your story and your great layout for this wonderful change!
