The first time I saw 'fire devils' was after the Lost Creek Fire near my town in 2003. The Red Deer Rapid Response fire fighting team brought photos into my lab to develop and we noticed some VERY eerie images in the flames, some very clear and spooooky. Since then I have always taken photos of our campfires to try to catch some little Fire Devils at play. These were taken June 2009.

photos by me I uploaded a second version to point out a few of the more obvious 'devils' in case you might think I am crazy ;) lol Try enlarging to take a closer look.My faves are the 'cat face' on the right, and the whole top photo that looks to me like a little creature wearing a hood and he has a little tail lol.
