so sad. these jewish people in what was then the jewish ghetto - were terrorized by the holocaust..the graves mainly children piled 12 on top of each other. terrible! this feeling never left me..it was so oppressive. the photo on the top left is just a square of names on a wall of the synogague. there were 80,000 names covering the walls of this enormous building. i made this for the cemetary group..i absolutely had to. i didn't use any embellishment, i wanted the photos to speak.
