I have decided I must be in a slightly dark place at the moment. This is the 2nd dark page I have created this week. When I 1st looked at this image of Neeltje's I thought of a desolate alien landscape. Then I changed the colours which seemed to enhance that feeling. One of my old dear friends lost her daughter last week to cancer. Dear Cathy grew up with my kids during their school years.

Cathy would have turned 38 in October. Her body finally gave up the fight after a 12 year battle. I felt I needed to analyse why I created this page. It represents how pain & heartbreak keeps us imprisoned. The desolation of loss portrayed by the landscape feeds the pain. But as the tears flow eventually healing will come & we will break out of the prison we find ourselves in. Lots of layering, recolouring, extraction in Paint.Net
