About this scrapbook page: |
This is a first for me - Attempting to make a mask. I uploaded the BG in Paint.net and used an eraser and magic wand to make the hole. I have no idea if this is the correct way to do it so I would appreciate any constructive criticism. All I need to do now is find a way to soften the edges of the mask to make it look more blended - Wish me luck as I need all the help I can get LOL xxxxxxxxxxxx

This is definitely a great overlay/mask. I am never sure which is which. I agree with Coops - look for a softening or blur tool. I just love the way it highlights that magnificent photo of your beautiful girl near the bench. It is brilliant! Hollie is such a dignified looking girl. Love her to bits.

Congratulations - it worked. I love this - looks really good. Yes feathering might be the answer if you can do it but I wouldn't bother this is lovely.

terrific page. have no idea how to make a mask but you did a great job doing it. don't know much about paint.net but in photoshop to soften the edges you use a feather command. I would think PDT has it or one of the many addons for it has it. have you checked their forum which is very active.
