All of you who are my long-time friends know about Ellie's Hank. Ellie goes nowhere without him; he has been her constant companion since she was just a few weeks old. Found him in a bargain bin at Tuesday Morning, never knowing he would be like Pooh is to Christopher Robin. Poor Hank is beginning to fall apart, and Ellie's Daddy had to perform surgery. Note how Ellie is holding Hank's foot. I'll do another page with a closer view. Poor Ellie ... Hank will be okay, honey.

this photo is priceless, I'm so glad that Beth got a new camera and is actually using it to get pics like this. I love the sketchy black and white look of this page, it suits it perfectly. She does melt your heart doesn't she? And having been on the shopping trip to Tuesday Mornings where Hank was picked out just adds to the emotional impact for me.

Awwwww this is so lovely , my son also has a bear (george) he is now thread bare, had new eyes and a torn ear, we bought him a babygrow to make him feel better , my son is now 25! and still has george, just an idea why dont you do a challenge now that would be fun, beautiful page love it xxx thanks for sharing your lovely memories

awww what a sweetie! Darian has 'purple bear' and even at 7 yrs old, it's still her bestest friend. When Purple needed surgery for a near decapitation, Darian was devastated lol. But purple is fine now and as good as new (but a bit floppy lol). What a gorgeous page :)

i love this!!(10+10), reminds me of my "Bear- Bear" when I was little. He had many "surgeries". still have the bear today. reminds me of a quote by Charlotte Gray: "a bear remains a bear-even when most of him has fallen off or worn away" and Helen Exley: "A bear teaches us that if the heart is true, it doesn't matter much if an ear drops off"

poor ellie looks so sad. the original photo is such a great shot. it is something how attached that kids ( and animals too) get attached to an old toy and will not want to separate from it. what a great daddy to do that surgery. this will make such a great memory for her when she gets older. just love this!
