I did this page in memory of my father who died two years ago. The poem is one that I wrote for his funeral as it fitted the situation at the time...he was planning on doing so many things,meeting unborn grandchildren etc. but became seriously ill very quickly and was unable to fulfil those dreams...At least not in this world.

Sounds like your father was a grand man, Anne Marie. I think I would have liked him - and wish I had known him. Like so many others, your wonderful page makes me miss my own father as well. Maybe they have already met and are sitting just inside the Pearly Gates having a pint and waiting for the rest of us?

He was a lovely man of whom I have fond memories, and writing this is bringing tears to my eyes.
