About this scrapbook page: |
Done for Painting challenge. I've always loved this painting by Frederick McCubbin. It was done in 1904 and is in three sections on the same canvas. The left shows the couple when they first settle on their land, the middle section is when their Family and property is growing, with the woman holding a baby and clearing being done. The right shows someone looking at a grave site with an established town in the background

What a fabulous painting beryl and I love the way it is divided showing the years going by in the life of the pioneers. I can see why it is a favourite of yours. Love the layered papers with the gum tree and the paint brush. Perfect elements to enhance this beautiful painting. Thank you so much for creating this for my challenge.
