Becky and I were able to adopt our daughter Nina in 1999, just before her 9th birthday. We (along with our son Nathan) flew from Chicago to Moscow, and then to Krasnodar, Russia. From there we travelled by car to Eisk on the Sea of Azov, where Nina was attending school. It was an experience, and that was just the beginning. She spoke no English when we brought her home! (This is for Mary Wonders' Tell The Story Challenge)

Since my ancestors are directly from Russia... this page really intrigues me! That is wonderful that you were able to adopt such a lovely girl back in 1999! I hope all is going well for you and she is so much older now so hopefully you will make updated pages when you can! Lovely page for a challenge I did not know about!
