These lovely flowers grow wild along the roadsides and in the fields of the South Island New Zealand. They are a magnificent sight with their bold colours. The stamps top right are official stamps of NZ featuring wild flowers.

Beautiful nature photo for a beautiful page! The purple ones look like those that grow naturally by roadsides & some fields here in Arizona. They are called "lupine" here. That would be astounding if they were the same species/genus -- being worlds apart! Thanks again for sharing your part of the world!
