My parents married in 1946, when my father just returned from Germany where he was deported during the war to work for the Germans. There wasn`t much money for a big wedding dress, so she just had a beautiful, but ordinary dress and a flower decoration in her hair.

Your mother had a beautiful and remarkable face. In other words, if you were working with genealogy her face would be one that would stand out and her sons or daughters or HER parents would be easily able to stand out when held side-by-side to this photo - then, showing they had to be related!
