About this scrapbook page: |
The building is simply known as the "1874 granary." It's about a mile up the railroad track from my home, next to the most beautiful step dam. You can only see the portions shown here - it's covered with ivy and weeds. I love how the builder added the date using local rocks. I wonder if he realized how long his building would survive? Happily, the town plans to build a nature trail in this spot, using the granary as a trail head and museum.

Thank you so much for joining the challenge. I love the old stone buidings, of which we have more than a few round here, but none as pretty as this in the lovely setting by the dam. Beautiful layout, and thanks so much for sharing.
