After the huge februari floods in the Netherlands the government developed a plan to avoid this in future and came up with the Delta Plans. The Zeelandbrug was 1 of the 1st steps in this plan that finished. The bridge is 5 km long and can be opened in the middle to let ships pass. The bridge connects the islands Zuid Beveland and Schouwen Duiveland. I have lived 17 years not far from the bridge and still find it an impressive road to take
