He just had to check for himself to see if the house was really made of salt! Much to his chagrin, it was! Grand Saline is home to Morton Salt Co. mines and the little salt house was made from big blocks of salt from the mines. It's no longer open to the public, I can remember as a child going down into the mine with my uncle. It was a most fascinating sight - salt over, under and around us. Even the air tasted salty.

I created the page from photos of the salt house walls, then added some tube flowers and the dotted line with my pen tool.

Yes, his expression had me laughing for awhile!! Thank you for the kind comments. This was an old picture. I have many more to scrap of this amazing boy. He's kind of my favorite subject. :)
