This is one of my favorite photos from my childhood; my Ma's work had an entry in the Christmas Parade and their theme was Christmas Around the World. I was 7 years old and we had to ask relatives from New York to send us a kimono and obi. I absolutely loved getting to dress up in the traditional Japanese garb.
