A million US$ is almost 50 million Phlippine pesos. I'd set aside 50% for my major expenses - my kids' and my nephews' education and my family's (especially mom's) health needs, buy a house in the city and donate to a foundation for streetchildren. 50% I'd use to buy property near the sea, a couple of hours away from Manila. It won't only be a getaway but be income-generating. Since I'd still continue to work, I'd then have money for fun and travel.:)
