For the Vintage challenge: http://www.scrapbookflair.com/challenges/Vintage_Enchantment This is a photo of my grandfather at about 10 years old (dark hair lower left) as a page in the court of the queen of the 1908 Occidental Carnival Costume ball in the Philippines. Manila Carnivals were held from 1908-1939, the 2-week fair was organized as a goodwill event to celebrate harmonious U.S.-Philippine relations and to showcase our commercial, industrial and agricultural progress.
