About this scrapbook page: |
Okay ... I took liberties with this quote. Jack Kerouac, who is one of Mark's favorite authors, actually said that "somewhere along the line, there would be girls" ... not "a girl". But for Mark, there is no more plural in the word girl. The Pearl has been handed to him.

Photo blended onto paper by Kim DeSmet. Lots of different styles of blending and adjustments in backlighting, sharpening, levels and Threshold. Applied overlays by Vera Lim and Joanne Brisebois. Then I merged everything and did further editing in Nik Color Efex and in Topaz. Photo of Mark taken by me on the Cape May/Lewis Ferry.

Who is Mark? I haven't read Kerouac since I was in my twenties. Brilliant page. Whoever he is, a good looking bloke and a really moody, reflective feel to the page. Brilliant. Love all your comments. Trying to catch up on some of the scraps while we were absent.
