I certainly don't look very happy in this picture, do I? This was taken in my aunt's yard in the late 1950's. Even though I don't look happy, I have many happy memories of this time in my childhood. It's hard to see him, but my father is sitting behind me in this photo. I love the way my sister Bonnie is hugging his leg. This was probably a Sunday afternoon after church. Our mother dressed us in cute dresses, didn't she?

I'm trying to learn how to blend onto busy, colorful backgrounds. There are so many wonderful patterned papers available, so I hate sticking with plain ones. This photo was blended onto paper by Joanne Brisebois. The frame is by Designs by Vanya. The heart danglement is by Edeline Marta. The tiny red hearts are by our own Jaelop. The clowns and butterflies were part of the paper and came through by blending and erasing.
