here's a very English traditional recipe that we eat over the holiday period every year, there are now hundreds of ready made versions of mince pies now on sale in every supermarket, and most people cheat now by buying pre-made mincemeat in jars and frozen pastry but being as i love to cook (and cos my mum makes the mincemeat up ready for me each year lol) i make my own

they are scrummy served warm with clotted cream (extra thick double cream works well too)
