My niece, Viveka, lives in Sweden where they celebrate Midsommer. In my brother's wonderful words: "Midsommar is an annual highlight and people who have trudged through slush and dark all winter spring from interiors everywhere and radiate glee while soaking up the sun and singing traditional songs." We love how traditions such as these serve to infuse all Swedes with a common experience. It's a beautiful custom.
