Gloria Swanson (1899 – 1983):She made her film debut in 1914.She was prolific during the silent film era as both an actress and a fashion icon.In 1929 Swanson successfully transitioned to talkies.However,her popularity wane during the 1930s.She was romantically linked to Joseph P. Kennedy, Sr., father of future President John F. Kennedy.She appeared in the movie Airport 1975.Swanson had a reputation as a difficult and often unpleasant character and... had six husbands (not at the same time!)
