Colleen Moore(1900-1988):Chicago was first the center of the motion picture industry in America.Moore made her first credited film appearance in 1917.She played in some westerns.She was named a WAMPAS Baby Star(Western Association of Motion Picture Advertisers).Moore's bobbed hairstyle was widely copied throughout the world.At the height of her fame,Moore was earning $12,500 per week.Throughout her life she also maintained close friendships with other colleagues from the silent film era.
