It is desert landscape with summer days reaching 50.C and winter nights dropping to 0.C but has a beautiful national park called Karijini and some wonderful sunrises/sunsets.
The Town itself is only 44 years old and has about 3500 residents. It is supported by the Iron Ore mine here.
