About this scrapbook page: |
When I came across this old photo I was whisked back to the day I met my first love and I was wearing this dress. Nobody realised that within a month we would elope in the middle of the night into the back streets of Benghazi (Libya) and before dawn we were married by a blind old sheikh. Needless to say, I lived to regret it and we divorced some years later, but I have four great children and fourteen grandchildren as a result. I've never dared remarry. HARD LESSON LEARNED...!

Great page,Benghazi eh, John was there for a while while we were stationed in Cyprus. We do strange things when we are young, so sorry your happiness didn't last, but love that dress!
