Cape Town is the second most populated city in South Africa. North east of Cape Town lies the famous wine and fruit district. Kimberley is the Capital of the Northern Province and world known for diamonds. The Big Hole is a huge open-pit mine (used from 1866 - 1914) and claimed to be the largest hole excavated by hand. The Hole is 463m wide and 240m deep and yielded 2,722kg of diamonds. FOR THE ROAD TRIP CHALLENGE.
