About this scrapbook page: |
This is a photograph of the outdoor washouse,in the ruins of an old cottage where my husband used to live as a child. We visited this place and took the photo in 2007.I wonder how many of us 'older ladies' can remember helping our mothers or grandmothers with the family wash, on a Monday morning. You can see the little doorway at the bottom left, where the fire had to be lit to heat the water. Oh! Those were the days eh!
