When visiting a good friend in California we went ocean kayaking in Santa Cruz. We had a great time . . . UNTIL . . . I got motion sick while crossing a thick patch of seaweed. Watching the movement of the seaweed in opposition with the movement of the ocean I got sick.

I leaned over the side of the kayak to empty my stomach (sorry for the details), lost my balance and fell head first into the ocean and seaweed! It was cold and salty! Later during my visit Becky-Beck surprised me with a belated birthday party complete with a cake in the shape of a sit-on-top kayak (with me missing . . .).
