Looking at this picture I guess that Karl Bang got it wrong! The page is suggesting a tie at the front, the sign of an Oiran and not a Geisha. If any one is interested, there is a lot of information on Wikipedia

Great page, and I hope Inesaki was indeed a Geisha! The journalling calling her a Mineko suggest she was!
