In loving memory of my Father In Law Thank you all for the prayers and understanding during this time. It's hard to believe it's been 20 days since I last posted a page..with his illness and this heat I've not been doing much of anything. Steve (my husband and the youngest of his 3 son's) was able to stay at the hospital and held him at the end. He says it haunts him now but I told him it will get easier because he was there with his dad & he was not alone

I am so sorry for your loss, you've done Steve's dad proud with your great page. My siser passed just last February and I was with her when she drew her final breath, as I was with my beloved mum 5yrs earlier, you know I've had so many people tell me that the dying person actually chooses who to have with them when they pass and it gives me comfort and joy to know they both honoured me this way.

This is a beautiful tribute. I read this to my husband who happens to be a truck driver:) I was there when my dad took his last breath and I understand Steve's feelings. I truly do. Sometimes I wish I was not there. Then there are times I'm glad I was:) Tell Steve it will get better and he'll eventually be glad that he was able to be with his dad in his last moments. I'll say a prayer for you all

Tell Steve that to be there when his father died is a blessing and it should not haunt him. I was with my father when he died, but my sister was not and it has always upset her. So sorry for your loss.
