About this scrapbook page: |
Our family hunts, fishes...we raise our own cattle, chickens, we garden and it is ALL FOOD. I think I am the only one in this family that does not care for hunting. I could not believe how much fun Emerie had with her dad. Hunting is fun but it is also food.

Strong record of the trip and no doubt Emerie will form her own opinion as she grows up. Hunting for necessity and survival is one thing but quite another when done for 'fun' or sport, this aspect I can't agree with nor the 'blooding' of children at quite a young age. Like a couple of other previous comments - just my views!

I think when children are old enough (and that age can range widely), they should all understand where food comes from, whether from a garden or animals. Wild meat doesn't have all the growth hormones or antibiotics and is much more healthy. Anyway, I'll get off my soap box..lol. Glad Emerie took it in stride and is on her way to learning how to be self sufficient!

It's a great page and photos but I really can't get my head around children being involved in animal killing - Sorry but that's just me!

Lovely story & memory page Maggs. Our Grandson Gage has been hunting with his father from quite a young age & loves it. Neat photos & love your LO with just the right touches to set them off nicely
