About this scrapbook page: |
This is a composition of a "Yellow Rose of Texas." It is new in my garden this year as well as other cacti. I think I was inspired to add cactus plants after seeing a page done by Mat! Thanks Mat! I have a few others out in the garden but I am not too sure of the names. I did research on the 'song' as well and came up with this info....It is circa 1836 and as far as I know the author and copyright are unknown.

Stunning pics. I had these in my flower garden and they took over. I had to use a shovel and hard gloves to get rid of them. The plants are beautiful, but the thorns are not. I had them every where (in my cloths, in my skins, in my mouth). They just jump at you. I loved them but the thorns were the last straw.
