Oh Gwyneth, I'm so sorry to hear this news about both Mums but,obviously,your MIL has very pressing needs now & is confused poor thing.It's so difficult when they want to retain their independence but fail to realise how frail they have become.Maintaining the balance between her dignity and her safety is tricky. so sorry your trip was cut short and do hope your MIL improves soon. It is hard caring for our parents as they age and respect there dignity in making choices with which we don't always approve. Make sure you take time for yourself (i.e. scrapping :) ) as you juggle all those responsibilities. great page too!
