My last entry for the challenge. This plant is in the sedum family and is called Autumn Joy because it looks like a succulent all summer then in fall it blooms out like this (this pic was taken just this morning),so we get this last spalsh of color when everything else is turning brown.,

It is a gorgeous plant, mine (in London) are just getting into their colour stride. You're absolutely right, they are a wonderful, defiant splash of colour as others die away.
