Meet Patrick, so named because he lived to see St. Patrick's Day. Starved for a month, put in a garbage bag, thrown down a 19-story garbage chute and left for dead, Patrick was found just before the dumpster he lay in was to be compacted. He weighs 20 pounds, less than half his ideal body weight. He's now receiving 24 hour care at a nearby specialty hospital and is expected to survive, if not thrive. Cripes! What is wrong with people! How can they do that to such a sweet animal! Shoot, what the heck am I talking about? People kill their own children too. That's sick, but I'm sooooo glad to see sweet Patrick recovering and hopefully have a long and happy life! Beautiful pages for him!
