The Pukeko is a NZ swamp hen found throughout all of NZ. Though I'm sure most of them live on our property LOL. They are actually quite pretty birds. We've done a lot of planting of native trees on our property & my husband Bryan has to put cages around them when 1st planted so these guys won't dig them up. For the 'Show us your bird' challenge
