I wrote this poem ten years ago during my senior year of high school. It's about my best friend Serena and me. Although she is no longer in my life I'm still taken right back to that time period every time I read this. It makes me sad and happy at the same time to remember what great times we had. wonderful poem. bring me back to my own high school bestie. we reconected after many years (and miles) of separation. now we share stories, troubles, worries about our kids, & joys. even tho we are still mile apart (gotta love the internet)
i hope you continue to remember those days with a big smile, to have our lives touched by someone so specail is a great thing. even if it remains in the past.

Wonderful poem, too bad your friendship couldn't have lasted forever. Maybe one day your paths will cross again and you can take up where you left off. It happened to me just recently with a friend I hadn't had any contact with in over 30 years.
