Having scrapped the Guernsey Lily I thought I'd better do one showing one of the many flowers of my adopted homeland. The beautiful Pohutukawa Tree, it blooms in December and welcomes in our Christmas. Christmas in NZ is less about snow and sleigh bells and more about sun, sand and BBQs on the beach. The beautifal Pohutukawa Tree is regarded as NZ's iconic Christmas Tree.
