Carl XVI Gustaf has been King of Sweden since 1973. The king married Silvia Sommerlath from Germany. They met at the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich. The wedding was held 19 June 1976. They have three children: Victoria, Crown Princess of Sweden, Prince Carl Philip, Princess Madeleine, Prince Carl Worldwide, Carl XVI Gustaf is probably best known as the presenter of the Nobel Prizes each year.
